Wandering 1500 Club

The B12 is a special locomotive. It’s the flagship of the North Norfolk Railway, and the jewel in the crown of the M&GN Joint Railway Society (the loco’s owners). Since returning to steam in 1995 the loco has created great interest and excitement across the country: what makes it unique is that it’s the only working British inside cylinder 4-6-0. But after 12 years of hauling thousands of happy passengers, the B12 is now in need of a overhaul.

Often referred as 'fifteen-hundreds' by their crews, the title 'Wandering 1500' was adopted for a 260 mile railtour in 1963, organised by the M&GN Society, and hauled by none other than the B12. The title has since been taken on by the club which supports the loco, and with the impending overhaul we’re looking for your support.
